LA MIRADA --- Jonny Tewinkle earned NCBWA West Region Player of the Week honors on Tuesday afternoon, in addition to his PacWest Player of the Week honors. 

Tewinkle led the Eagles to a four game sweep over Menlo and fifth consecutive win. Averaging .600 at the dish, Tewinkle went 9-for-15, blasting two home runs, including a grand slam. He also drove in eight runs and scored twice in every game. Tewinkle extended his hit streak to 14 games, the longest active streak on the team. 

"Jonny had a huge week for us and was instrumental in our sweep," stated head coach Jesse Rogers. "He works really hard each week so that he is relaxed and enjoying baseball on the weekends. He keeps things light and fun for his teammates and is very deserving of this honor."
