The Biola Eagles shutout Whittier College 7-0 at the Biola Tennis Center.

LA MIRADA---The Biola women's tennis team dominated against Whittier College at the Biola Tennis Center. The Eagles defeated the Poets 7-0 and won every singles match in two sets.

BU started strong, winning the doubles point with wins on the first and third courts. Isabelle Karam and Ivet Stancheva won 6-1 on the first court and Yeo Kyung Kim and Cassie Donar won 6-0 on the third court.

The Eagles went on to sweep singles. Four matches ended with 6–0, 6–0 victories including Ivet Stancheva on the first court, Isabelle Karam on the third court, Yeo Kyung Kim on the fourth and Alexis Romano on the sixth court.

Dafne Andres and Cassie Donar also recorded wins. Andres won 6-3, 6-0 on the second court and Donar defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-0 on the fifth.

Biola improved 4-2 overall while Whittier College fell 0-2. BU plays next on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m. against Azusa Pacific.
