LA MIRADA --- On Monday afternoon, Jonny Tewinkle earned his first career PacWest Player of the Week honors.

In the four game series against Menlo College, Tewinkle went 9-for-15, including one double, two home runs and eight RBIs. In the final game of the series, he hit a grand slam over the right center field wall. Tewinkle leads the PacWest in batting average, hits, on base percentage (OBP). He is second in the conference in on base + slugging (OPS) and fourth in slugging percentage. 

"It's been really fun to see Jonny enjoying baseball this season," said head coach Jesse Rogers. "He is a great teammate that keeps things light and fun and works really hard. I'm excited for him that his work is paying off."
