LA MIRADA --- The Biola baseball team is set to start their season on Friday, Jan. 30 against the Regis University Rangers. 

Biola Baseball was ranked fifth in the PacWest's 2026 Preseason Poll. Head Coach Jesse Rodgers enters his fourth season at the helm after taking the Eagles to the PacWest tournament last year with a 26-27 record. Biola also returns key pieces to their roster including James Whitman, named to the Second Team All-PacWest and Adiel Torres, named to the Third Team All-PacWest. 

BU is set to play 52 games this season, including 44 conference contests, with 26 games taking place at Eagles Diamond.

Rodgers and the Eagles welcome 17 newcomers – eight freshmen and nine transfers. The eight freshmen include Ethan Kirwinski, Karl Cruz, Kai Reeser, Eddie Jennings, Matthew Ibrahim Jr., Raegan Samples, John Lara III, and Valentine Lopez. Transfers include Wyatt Nichol (Pepperdine), Trevor Moeck (Regis), Kevin Villegas (Golden West), Reef Danner (Arkansas Little Rock), Oscar Knapp (Cabrillo), Noe Novella (Midway), Christian Trejo (Chaminade).
