Box Score FULLERTON, Calif. --- The Biola women's water polo team returned to the pool for its third game of the season, taking on No. 6 Long Beach State. The Eagles fell by a final score of 7-20.

Long Beach State got the scoring started early and often, as Biola found itself down 4-0 after the opening period.

Ava LoBue put the Eagles on the board halfway through the second period, trading back-to-back goals with Beach. Karly Lepel added another goal for BU off a pass from Myah Ibarra. Heading into the halftime break, the Eagles trailed 10-3.

Ibarra found the back of the net early in the third period, but not before Long Beach State scored four times in the opening five and a half minutes of the frame. Destiny Moreno slotted a power-play goal in the closing minute of the quarter.

The Eagles began the fourth quarter trailing 16-5. Beach held BU to just two goals, scored by Mia Mulhall and Moreno, in the final frame as Biola falls to Long Beach State, 7-20.

The Eagles will play against No. 21 San Diego State for their final game at the Titan Invitational at 3 p.m.
