LA MIRADA --- The Biola women's water polo team is set to begin its season at the CSUF Titan Invitational on Jan. 16. The Eagles welcome 10 newcomers — seven freshmen and three transfers — to the program, led by head coach Sarah Ramirez.

The Eagles were voted third in the WWPA 2026 preseason coaches poll. In 2025, Biola had a 10-18 record and a perfect 4-0 in WWPA play, claiming the 1 seed in the WWPA tournament. BU return several key contributors, led by Ava LoBue, who earned 2025 All-WWPA Second Team honors and was named to the WWPA All-Defensive Team. Gwendolynn Pidd also returns after being voted to the 2025 WWPA All-Freshman Team, providing Biola with experience and continuity in the pool.

This season, Biola will play 27 games, hosting six at Splash Regional Aquatics Center. They will host DI powerhouse Michigan in their first home contest and conclude the regular season against second-ranked CUI. Historically, The Eagles are 2-1 against the Golden Eagles, who are competing in the WWPA for the first time.
