IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola senior libero Bri Bellfi looked to be in midseason form throughout the opening weekend of 2025. On Monday afternoon, Bellfi was named the PacWest Defender of the Week for the fourth time in her career, following a stellar performance during the Seawolf Invitational in Alaska.

Bellfi anchored the Eagles' back row across four matches, posting 72 digs over 13 sets — an impressive 5.54 digs per set average. Her efforts included a season-high 33 digs in a five-set battle against Alaska Fairbanks and another 20 digs in a four-set match against Alaska Anchorage. Her exceptional play in serve-receive was just as reliable, with a 91.9% reception percentage on 86 attempts.

In addition to her defensive brilliance, Bellfi contributed 15 assists and three service aces, showcasing her all-around game and leadership on the court.

Bellfi and the Eagles will get a chance to compete in Chase Gymnasium in their home opener on Thursday at 3:30pm against Stanislaus State.
