LA MIRADA---Briley Phelps was named PacWest Player of the Week for her incredible performance against Westcliff University. 

"Briley is an extremely selfless leader who embodies our team culture of being 'Christ-Centered & Others Focused'," shared head coach Brett Croft. "Briley is loved by her teammates, and is as fierce of a competitor as you can find. We are extremely blessed to have Briley as a fearless leader in our program."

Phelps earned the first hat trick of her collegiate career in the Eagles' 4-1 victory over the Warriors. The Junior played a role in every goal Biola scored against Westcliff. She scored goals in the 23rd, 62nd and 76th minutes and assisted Marije Rechin's goal in the 28th minute.

Phelps is also a PacWest Conference statistical leader in goals scored and points. She has scored six goals so far this year and has a total of 15 points. Her three assists is second-best in the league.

The women's soccer team plays next on Thursday, October 2nd at 4 p.m. against Jessup University at Al Barbour Field.
