LA MIRADA --- Biola men's water polo standouts
Nolan Rapp and
Mitchell Carpenter were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third-Team, as announced Wednesday.
The prestigious honor recognized student-athletes who demonstrated excellence both in competition and in the classroom. Rapp, a senior public health major with a 3.81 GPA, earned the accolade for the second-consecutive year. In addition to his academic success, Rapp was named an ACWPC All-American and earned All-WWPA honors following a standout senior campaign.
Carpenter, also a senior, earned his first Academic All-America selection after excelling as a mathematics major with a 3.60 GPA. Like Rapp, he was also named an ACWPC All-American and received All-WWPA recognition for his performance in the pool.
It marked the first time in program history that two Biola men's water polo players earned CSC Academic All-America honors in the same season. The recognition reflected Biola's continued commitment to developing student-athletes who thrive academically and athletically.
