LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola Women's Water Polo continues to make waves not only in the pool but also in the classroom, with 16 student-athletes earning spots on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Team for the 2024-25 academic year.
This year's group of honorees exemplifies Biola's commitment to excellence in academics and athletics. The awards are divided into three tiers based on cumulative GPA: Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70), and Excellent (3.20-3.40).
Nine Eagles earned Outstanding status, the highest academic honor, reflecting GPAs between 3.71 and a perfect 4.0. Those standout scholars are:
Three student-athletes received Superior honors for maintaining GPAs between 3.41 and 3.70:
The final four honorees earned Excellent recognition with GPAs ranging from 3.20 to 3.40:
In addition to individual honors, the Biola Women's Water Polo team was recognized collectively as an ACWPC All-Academic Team, boasting a combined team GPA of 3.42.
Biola continues to show strong representation on the ACWPC list year after year, a testament to the team's academic rigor and the support provided by the university's student-athlete services.
The Eagles will look to carry this momentum into the upcoming season, both in the classroom and in the pool.
