May 19, 2025

LA MIRADA --- There was a lot to celebrate for the 2025 season for Biola Baseball. The team scored over 20 wins overall and in conference on the way to the PacWest postseason tournament. Two impact players earned their flowers, as Noah Ruiz and Isaiah Leon each made an all-region list.

The D2CCA All-West Region Teams were announced on Monday morning, naming Ruiz a Second Team All-West Region third baseman. He was consistently a top hitter in Biola's lineup, playing and starting in all but one of the team's 53 games.

Ruiz batted .384 in 2025 with 81 hits and 17 doubles. He was unstoppable at the plate, slugging .616 with a .439 on-base percentage, while leading the team with 49 RBI from the leadoff spot. Ruiz showed off his power with 10 homers this season. Earlier this postseason, Ruiz pulled in a Second-Team All-PacWest selection.

Leon made the NCBWA All-West Region Team as an honorable mention. The graduate student stepped up in his second year in an Eagles' uniform slashing .385/.462/.603.

Leon was a First Team All-PacWest award-winner this year, offering 48 games in the outfield for BU. He matched Ruiz with 10 homers in 2025 and compiled a total of 67 hits and 43 runs scored. He put together a 12-game hitting streak from March 6 through March 29, including single games of four and five hits.

Two Eagles were also recognized as NCAA DII All-West Region student-athletes for the third time, including 2023 and 2021.
