Jordan Sends Two Over, Eagles Come Up Short

The Biola softball team fell just short in their 6-5 loss to second-seeded Concordia University Irvine. Makayla Jordan led BU’s offense with two home runs.

IRVINE, Calif.---The Biola softball team fell just short in their 6-5 loss to second-seeded Concordia University Irvine. 

Biola scored all their runs from timely home runs. Makayla Jordan led BU's offense with two no-doubters. The Graduate Student's first long ball scored two runs for BU in the second inning and the second was in the sixth which made it a one run ball game for the Eagles (6-5).

Kendall Nakano also homered against Concordia. The Freshman's no-doubter scored two runs which left Biola chasing by two (6-4). Nakano now has 15 home runs this season.

Jackie Ibarra and Maddie Granados also did well in the batter's box. Ibarra went 3-for-4 and Granados was 2-for-2.

Raquel Reyes and DJ Symons teamed up in the circle. Reyes started and threw 2.1 innings where she allowed two hits and three runs to score. Symons came in to relieve in the third inning and closed out the game. The Junior allowed six hits and three runs to score.

Biola falls into the loser's bracket and will play again tonight at 5 p.m. against the winner of the Dominican and Azusa Pacific game.
