The Biola women’s tennis team shutout Fresno Pacific 7-0 at the Biola Tennis Center.

LA MIRADA---The Biola women's tennis team shutout Fresno Pacific 7-0 at the Biola Tennis Center.

The Eagles set the tone early by securing the doubles point. Gaby Carvajal and Isabelle Karam got the ball rolling in doubles. Carvajal and Karam won 6-0 on the third court and then Dafne Andres and Isabella Chavarria clinched the point with their 6-1 win on the second.

Sophia Truong earned Biola's first singles win on the sixth court, defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-1. Alessia Radu recorded BU's next win on the fourth court, beating her opponent 6-0, 6-1.

Karam clinched the Eagles' victory with her 6-1, 6-1 take down on the fifth court. Kailee Mazzeo put Biola ahead 5-0 with her 6-2, 6-3 triumph on court 2.

Andres and Chavarria collected Biola's final wins. Andres won 6-3, 6-1 on the third court and Chavarria downed her opponent 7-5, 6-2 on the first.

BU improved 12-6 overall while FPU fell 4-15.

Biola has one match left of the regular season. The Eagles play Westmont College on Friday, April  11 at 12 p.m for their senior day.
