Biola made a game of it but fell against Westmont, needing one more big hit.

April 04, 2025

Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- The day was split between No. 4 Westmont (26-8, 21-7 PacWest) and Biola (16-17, 13-13 PacWest) on Friday, as the Warriors captured the 4-2 victory in game two.

The offense came slowly for the Eagles in the back half of the road doubleheader but the team had a chance in the final frame.

Down by three in the seventh inning, Biola began by getting two runners on with no outs. A single followed but an out on the base paths slowed the momentum. A sac fly came next and the Eagles were within two runs.

Sam Lisiak pinch hit for BU and lofted a double to right field with two outs on the board. Runners on second and third marked the potential tying runs in scoring position but a flyout to deep left-center ended the late push for a 4-2 finish for Westmont.

Westmont opened with four runs in the first four frames to gain its lead, logging seven hits, including four for extra bases.

Adiel Torres picked up Biola's first RBI in the sixth inning, roping a double for his second hit of the day.

The Eagles will host the final two games of their series against Westmont on Saturday beginning at 12:00 pm.
