March 07, 2025

Box Score HONOLULU, Hawaii --- There is not a much better day you can have on the diamond as Isaiah Leon had on Friday. The graduate outfielder was excellent in a 7-2 Biola (11-11, 8-7 PacWest) win on the road at Chaminade (7-12, 5-10 PacWest) finishing a doubleheader sweep.

The offense began and ended with Leon for the Eagles in game two. Leon scored a teammate or himself for six of the team's seven runs in the contest. He finished the game with five RBI and three runs scored.

The graduate outfielder was perfect at the plate, landing four hits in four at bats with three extra-base hits. Two home runs highlighted the day, including a grand slam from Leon. He also added a double and a single for the cherry on top.

The grand slam boosted the Biola lead in the fourth inning, capitalizing on the bases loaded jam. The four-RBI round-tripper was the second of his Biola career, as he pulled off one against APU last year. The two homers on Friday were the first two of the 2025 season for Leon.

On the mound, Gabe Magallan carried the torch and delivered his best outing of the season. The righty tossed 109 pitches through six frames, holding CUH to two runs on eight hits. Magallan posted seven strikeouts and picked up his third win of the year.

All nine Biola batters reached base in the contest, while eight of the nine in the lineup logged a base hit. James Whitman nabbed the other RBI, sending a double to deep left-center field.

Kyle Osterhage closed out the game on the rubber, capping off a scoreless seventh for the 7-2 final score.

The Eagles will wrap up their trip in Hawaii on Saturday with a single nine inning game against Chaminade at 5:00 pm PT.
