LA MIRADA---The Biola women's basketball team is headed to San Rafael, California to compete at the 2025 PacWest Conference Championships. The Eagles begin the tournament on Thursday, March 6th at 12:30 p.m. against the third-seed team, Dominican University.

"Qualifying for the Pacwest Tournament is such a gift to our team," stated head coach Mike Simonson. "Being a new coach in the league and implementing a new system, we are ecstatic to continue our season and gain experience as we lay the foundation for our program."

Simonson continued, "We have had a successful year where we have fought adversity and overcame a tough schedule. We have shown we can beat anyone in the conference and we believe we can make a special run this postseason, something our seniors are hungry for."

"I'm beyond happy for Lai, Sammie, Sydney, Kaylen and Hope," Simonson concluded. "They are dedicated to our team and they want to keep playing and accomplish something that hasn't been done at Biola, get out of the first round and win the Pacwest Championship."

Biola enters the PacWest Championship as the sixth seed and is set to face Dominican for the third time this season. BU lost the first contest at home 67-44 and the second away 64-41. Kaylen Kamelamela led the Eagles' scoring in both contests. She posted 11 points at Chase Gymnasium and 10 away.

Anything is possible in the postseason as Biola has beaten the PacWest's No. 1 seed PLNU earlier this season and nearly overcame No. 2 Azusa Pacific in their last regular game of the year. BU is one of only two PacWest teams to defeat PLNU. The Eagles beat the Sea Lions 73-65 at home and fell by just one point to APU (62-61).
