Eagles Charge Back in Victory

The Biola women’s tennis team worked their way back from behind to defeat MSU Denver 6-1.

LA MIRADA---The Biola women's tennis team worked their way back from behind to defeat MSU Denver 6-1.

The Eagles lost the doubles point, but would get the job done in singles where they won on every court.

Isabella Chavarria recorded the first singles win, defeating her opponent 6-3, 6-1. Dafne Andres finished up next on the third court where she won 6-4, 6-3. Kailee Mazzeo then put the Eagles' up 3-1 with her 7-5, 7-5 victory on the first court.

Alessia Radu clinched the match with her 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 triumph on the fourth court.

Gaby Carvajal fought to earn BU's next win. The Senior lost her first set 3-6 but came back to win 6-3, 6-3.

Isabelle Karam was the final Eagle to finish, defeating her opponent 6-2, 5-7, 10-7.

Next up for the women's tennis team is Azusa Pacific on Wednesday, March 26th at 3:30 p.m.
