IRVINE, Calif. --- Noah Ruiz starred in a series against Azusa Pacific on his way to a PacWest Player of the Week recognition, as announced on Monday.

The junior infielder was a menace to the Cougars, pouring in 11 RBI on seven hits through the four-game series. Ruiz hit .389, while hitting for the cycle with four singles, a double, a triple, and a home run.

He kicked off the series with a banger, capping off an eight-run eighth inning for a huge comeback 16-15 win for BU. Ruiz logged a go-ahead three-run triple in the eighth inning to complete the series opening win for the Eagles.

The next day in Azusa brought more magic in game two. Biola found themselves down by one in the top of the seventh and final frame. Ruiz came to the plate with two on and one out and he smashed the first pitch he saw over the fence for a go-ahead three-run home run. 

Ruiz ended the week with his ninth-straight game with a hit, while boasting 12 multi-hit outings so far this season.

The Biola baseball squad will be back in action on Friday, facing Vanguard on the road at 12:00 pm.
