AZUSA, Calif.---The Biola men's tennis team played a competitive match against nationally-ranked No. 11 Azusa Pacific, falling 5-2 to the Cougars at the Munson and Bavougian Tennis Complex.
The Eagles managed to take two singles wins against APU.
Patricio Larrea outlasted his opponent on the fourth court in a three-set battle. Larrea lost his first set 4-6 but came back to sweep the next two 6-3, 10-6.
Thiago Canessa was also victorious on the fifth court where he defeated his opponent in two sets. He won his first set in a 7-3 tiebreak and the second had a score of 6-3.
Santino Serrallonga lost a competitive match on the sixth court. Serrallonga fell in three sets. He won the first 6-2 and lost the next two 2-6, 4-10.
BU plays next on Monday, March 3 at 1 p.m. against No. 4 Washburn at the Biola Tennis Center.
