LA MIRADA—The Biola women's soccer team welcomed 10 newcomers to their squad for the 2024 season. The Eagles' 10 newcomers include two transfers and eight freshmen who joined a returning 2023 roster of 25.

"Our 2024 recruiting class is a great balance of quantity and quality, stated second-year head coach Brett Croft. "We are looking forward to developing all these players that the Lord has led to Biola University spiritually, athletically, academically, as well as socially. These incoming players are all excellent fits for the culture we are cultivating within our Women's Soccer family here at Biola."

The women's soccer team, coming off of a 5-9-3 overall record, were ranked seventh by the PacWest Conference's coaches in the 2024 preseason poll. Biola returns two all-conference selections, Peyton Nelson (Second Team All-PacWest) and Marije Rechin (Third Team All-PacWest).

"Our Biola Women's Soccer recruiting class for the Fall of 2024 consists of two transfers in Alyssa 'Jojo' Prisock and Selah Nakamura," shared Croft. "Jojo made an instant impact in the spring against two NCAA Division I schools in CSUN and CBU, and proved to bolster the defensive line alongside 5th-year senior Jordyn Provience."

Croft continued,  "Alongside Jojo and Selah are eight incoming freshmen which include Mallory Palm, Isa Magee, Ali Davari, Ella Martin, Madeline Hood, Melania Valdez, Riley Cutshall, and Hailey Allen. Isa Magee alongside Ali Davari are the program's future on the backline, looking to make an immediate impact defensively learning from veterans Jojo and Jordyn. Mallory Palm makes her to way to Biola as an extremely dynamic player in the middle off the park, looking to compliment main stay midfielders in Mimi Rechin and Briley Phelps."

Biola begins their season tomorrow Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at Cal Poly Pomona.
