The women’s soccer team tied Stanislaus State 1-1 at Warrior Stadium.

TURLOCK, Calif.---The Biola women's soccer team tied Stanislaus State 1-1 at Warrior Stadium.

The Eagles (0-3-3) were the first to make their way onto the scoreboard. Marije Rechin put Biola up 1-0, scoring in the 53rd minute. The Warriors (3-1-2) quickly responded, scoring five minutes later to tie up the game 1-1.

Autum Monty kept the Eagles in the game, making three big saves after Stanislaus States' goal. 

Biola's offensive struggled against the Warriors' defense, only getting in one shot on goal after the game was tied up 1-1. Leah Kakigi took the shot for BU in the 67th minute.

Biola's offense out-shot Stanislaus State 13-11, but the Warriors produced seven shots on-goal to BU's five.

Monty spent the entire game as the Eagles' keeper. The Senior made four saves in the first half in addition to the three she made in the second. Monty was assisted by Chloe Laurin, Marije Rechin and Jojo Prisock who made up Biola's defensive line. Laurin logged 90 minutes, Rechin played 87 and Prisock tallied 85.

Biola plays next on Wednesday, September 25 at 7pm against Chico State at the University Soccer Stadium.
