AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colorado--- The Biola men's water polo team went toe-to-toe with nationally-ranked #17 Navy, but would ultimately fall 15-10 to their Division I opponents at the Cadet Natatorium.

Biola and Navy traded goals for the first three quarters. The Eagles managed to keep the game close, never allowing the Midshipmen to lead by more than three goals. Biola kept the pressure on the Naval Academy, cutting down their lead to just one goal six times throughout the first three periods.

However, the Midshipmen would quickly distance themselves in the final frame, taking a five-goal lead with 5:33 left on the game clock (12-7). Six more goals were netted before the final whistle, Biola and Navy each had three resulting in the Naval Academy's eventual 15-10 victory.

Caleb Hernandez, Gavin McKenzie and Nick Murray led the Eagles scoring with two goals each.

Mitchell Carpenter was BU's goalkeeper for the entire 32 minutes. He made nine saves and had one steal against Navy.

Biola has one scrimmage left to play at the Cadet Natatorium and then will return home to La Mirada.
