LA MIRADA, Calif. — After nine seasons at the helm, Alan Nakamura is moving on from his position as head women's basketball coach at Biola University. Alan took over as head coach in 2015-16 and led the team to six postseason appearances.

"Alan has served as our women's head coach since 2015-16 and will be missed for his conscientious spirit and consistent engagement in our department and university," said senior director of athletics Dr. Bethany Miller.

Coach Nakamura helped lead the Eagles to 132 wins over the past nine seasons, including a 15-14 mark and PacWest tournament berth in 2023-24.

"It is difficult to move on from Biola University and the Women's Basketball program," said Nakamura. "I really appreciate all that our student-athletes and our coaches have given to the program over the years - I am thankful that the Lord brought many high-quality people to our program."
