LA MIRADA --- College Sports Communicators announced its 2024 Baseball Academic All-District Teams, placing four Eagles on the prestigious list. Jake Anderson, Wyatt Duncan, Isaiah Leon, and Blake Wentz each made their way onto the academic all-district team with a strong showing in the classroom and on the diamond.

Each CSC Academic All-District nominee needs to hit three main criteria to be eligible: must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically, must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, and must compete in 90 percent of games played or must start in at least 66 percent of games, or pitchers must have 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched.

Anderson earned his way to the academic award with a 3.79 GPA through four years at Biola. He graduated in 2024 with a degree in business administration. On the field, Anderson picked up two wins through 16 appearances and 31.2 innings pitched. The reliever struck out 40 opposing hitters, while recording two saves in 2024.

Duncan completed his career at Biola with a stellar season at first base. The Second Team All-PacWest player batted .312 with nine doubles and seven home runs in 2024. He started in all but two games, while slugging .473. In the classroom, Duncan shined with a 3.70 GPA, while majoring in political science.

Leon joined the Eagles in 2024 as a graduate transfer from MidAmerica Christian and a 4.0 undergraduate GPA. Through one year in Biola's MBA program, Leon boasted a 3.94 GPA. Leon's play was stout in 38 games played and 33 starts. The outfielder averaged .314 at the plate and tallied three home runs, including a grand slam against APU.

At the conclusion of his sophomore season, Wentz boasted a 3.69 GPA, while majoring in business administration. The righty put in work on the mound in 2024, drawing eight starts and 12 appearances with two wins and 15 strikeouts.

Duncan advanced to the CSC Academic All-America Team ballot, which will be announced on July 2.
