IRVINE, Calif. --- The postseason accolades began to roll in for Biola baseball with the announcement of the All-PacWest Teams. Six Eagles earned their spot on the prestigious list, including two on each of the first, second and third teams.

Despite missing out on the PacWest postseason play, the Eagles had plenty of on-field accomplishments to celebrate in 2024. BU finished the year with 22 wins, including 12 in conference competition. The team also picked up four wins against nationally ranked foes.

Taylor Justus put together a stellar senior season on his way to a First Team All-PacWest nod. The senior hit .323 with nine doubles, five home runs and 22 RBI. He dominated in conference play, batting .404 with seven doubles and all five of his homers.

Behind the plate, Justus threw out six baserunners. The catcher went on a six-game hitting streak from March 25-April 2, batting .550 with three homers and nine RBI. He ended the season slugging .573, ranking second on the team.

Another First Team All-PacWest selection for Biola was Bobby Brown. The junior earned a spot at the top as a utility-pitcher, putting in work both in the field and on the mound.

Brown started the season strong as the No. 1 starter in the rotation while also playing in the middle infield. He carried a sub-2.00 era through his first five starts and hit .333 through the end of February before finishing the season at .236. In the year, he posted a 4-3 record with a 4.37 ERA but dealt with injuries in the latter half of the season, missing most of April.

A Second Team All-PacWest recognition came through for Wyatt Duncan. The BU first baseman was stout in the three spot of Biola's lineup, hitting .312 with nine doubles, seven home runs, and 31 RBI. He earned a PacWest Player of the Week and NCBWA West Region Player of the Week awards for a strong start to 2024.

Duncan put together an incredible two week stretch at the plate with a nine-game hitting streak. During the stretch, he grabbed 20 hits, seven multi-hit games including five in-a-row, while batting .513.

Andrew Lujan delivered at the plate for a Second Team All-PacWest selection as a designated hitter. The senior hit .290 with eight doubles, seven home runs and 28 RBI. The 28 RBI ranked third on the team, despite having the seventh-most at bats.

Lujan slugged .561 with a .955 OPS in 2024, while mainly batting in the cleanup spot. He logged a standout series against Fresno Pacific, going 6-11 at the dish with two homers and two doubles.

Noah Ruiz followed with a Third Team All-PacWest selection for shortstop. Ruiz offered an impressive sophomore season with 52 total hits and 18 multi-hit games. In 2024, the infielder hit .333 with 11 doubles, six homers, 21 RBI and 28 runs scored. In the thick of conference play, Ruiz recorded a five-game hitting streak, while batting .571 in the stretch.

The final All-PacWest nod for Biola was James Whitman. The outfielder landed on the All-PacWest Third Team. Whitman batted .326 with four doubles, 12 home runs and 45 RBI. His power had him rated highly in the PacWest, ranking sixth in the conference for OPS at 1.057, fourth for home runs at 12, fifth for RBI at 45, and sixth for slugging percentage at .616.
