Showing Dominance at Home

The women’s tennis team had a dominant 7-0 victory over CSULA at the Biola Tennis Center.

LA MIRADA—The Biola women's tennis team had a dominant 7-0 victory over CSULA at the Biola Tennis Center.

The Eagles clinched doubles quickly with back-to-back 6-1 wins on the first and second courts. Nationally-ranked No. 16 doubles pair Alexandria Mann and Brooke Fager record BU's first win on the first court and then Lily McNeill and Colbeyshae Emery had the next.

McNeill recorded Biola's first singles win on the second court by defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-1. Breanna Hiebert tabbed BU's next victory on court 6, winning 6-2, 6-1 over CSULA's Summer Roybal.

Isabella Chaverria clinched the match for Biola on the fifth court where she won 6-1, 6-2. 

Emery, Fager and Kailee Mazzeo earned the Eagles final dubs on the first, fourth and third courts. Emery (nationally ranked #56) won 6-3, 6-2, Fager 6-4, 6-4 and Mazzeo 7-6, 6-4 in Biola's shutout victory.

Biola's next match is on Saturday, Apr. 6 at 11 a.m. against Point Loma at the PLNU Tennis Courts.
