Box Score IRVINE, Calif. --- PacWest play continued for the Biola baseball squad (10-8-1, 2-3 PacWest) with a doubleheader at Concordia (8-3, 4-1 PacWest) on Friday afternoon. Game one belonged to the Golden Eagles, as the BU offense could not muster a comeback in the 5-3 ballgame.

Bobby Brown got the start on the mound for the Eagles and went six innings. Brown boasted seven strikeouts through 26 batters faced in the outing.

Through the six frames, Concordia added four runs to take the advantage. One more run came through for CUI in the final two frames, as the host squad looked to secure its lead.

Jonathan Kumai brought the hits for BU, logging two hits through four at bats. The second baseman notched a double and scored one of Biola's three runs in the game.

Biola entered the ninth down by three and mustered a score off the bat of Wyatt Duncan. Duncan singled to left field, bringing home Kumai and moving Austin Carillo to second base. The 5-3 scoreline would stick, though, as CUI shut the door in the top of the ninth.

Full box score and stats to be available following game two. Game two is underway in Irvine, as the two teams wrap up the Friday doubleheader.
