IRVINE, Calif.---Alejandro Flores Monteverde and the Biola men's tennis team collected weekly conference honors for their outstanding performances against Ottawa Arizona, Arizona Chirstian and Colorado Mesa.

Flores Monteverde earned PacWest Player of the Week and Biola won PacWest Team of the Week. Flores Monteverde helped his team go 3-0 last week, where he went 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles.

In singles, Flores Monteverde recorded wins on the third and fourth courts. He began the week with a 6-0, 6-0 win on the third court against Ottawa Arizona. The next day, Flores Monteverde won on the fourth court against Arizona Christian where he defeated his opponent 6-2, 7-5.

The Freshman ended the week with a three-set victory against Colorado Mesa where he took down his opponent 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 on the fourth court.

Flores Monteverde also won two sets of doubles to help his team win the doubles point against Arizona Christian and Colorado Mesa.

Flores Monteverde has a 7-0 record in singles with wins on the third and fourth courts. 

Additionally, the men's tennis team was named PacWest Team of the Week for going 3-0 against Ottawa Arizona, Arizona Christian and Colorado Mesa. Biola shutout OUAZ 7-0 and went on to take down Arizona Christian 4-1 the next day. The Eagles returned home from Arizona and beat Colorado Mesa 6-1 to conclude a fantastic week of competition. 

Next up for Biola is Grand Valley State on Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 4 p.m. at the Biola Tennis Center.
