In the Zone

The softball team was in the zone, winning their second game of the day against Chaminade 3-1 at Freedom Field.

LA MIRADA—The Biola softball team was in the zone, winning their second game of the day against Chaminade 3-1 at Freedom Field.

The Eagles made their way onto the scoreboard first, scoring a run in the first inning. Kennadie Tsue, Abie Nowak and Mikala Huskey recorded singles in the first inning. Roybal cashed in Biola's first run of the game on a fielder's choice (1-0).

Biola posted two more runs in the third inning. Tsue had a lead-off double to get the inning going for BU and then two outs would pass to bring Roybal up to bat. 

Roybal found her pitch and drove it over the centerfield fence to extend their lead to 3-0.

Chaminade managed to push across a run in the sixth inning. The Silverswords scored their run off of two hits (3-1).

Roybal threw the full game, only allowing the Silverswords to score one run off of seven scattered hits. Roybal lasered in 10 strikeouts and had a 1-2-3 inning.
