March 01, 2024

GENEVA, Ohio --- Biola diving boasted three Eagles who reached the Qualification Diving Meet for the 2024 NCAA DII National Championships. Lorelai Carney, Eliana Cote, and Caleb Pook will make the trip to Ohio and compete in the qualification dive, looking to earn a spot in the NCAA DII Swim & Dive Championships.

The qualification diving meet will take place before the official championships start. In the morning and afternoon of Tuesday, March 12, 35 men and 51 women will take to the boards in search of 18 qualifying spots for each dive.

Pook will be returning to the qualification meet, after reaching the feat last year. The sophomore will look to improve on his 22nd place finish in the 1M and 25th place finish in the 3M to move on in 2024.

Carney and Cote will get their first Nationals experience in a few weeks. Carney was the PCSC Champion in both the 1M and 3M dives, while reaching career-high scores earlier in the season at 276.50 in the 1M and 268.55 in the 3M. Cote reached her NCAA standard mark with a personal-best showing against the Master's, scoring 283.50 on the 1M board.

The trio will take to the boards on Tuesday, March 12 at the Spire Institute Aquatics Center, vying for a spot in the NCAA DII Championships.
