VISTA, Calif. --- The Western Water Polo Association handed out its all-academic awards on Tuesday, recognizing the academic achievement of 78 student-athletes. Biola was a top recipient of the award, as the Biola men's water polo team corralled 13.

To be eligible for WWPA All-Academic honors, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of his team's contests during the current season, carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, be classified as a full-time student for all terms of attendance, and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at his institution. 

The Eagles ranked atop the conference with their total of 13 individual awards. Gannon and Mercyhurst stood beside Biola with 13 award-winners as well.
