IRVINE, Calif.---Nico Ramírez was recognized as PacWest Player of the Week for his outstanding performances against Concordia and Point Loma.

Ramírez played a key role in the Eagles' comeback attempts against the Golden Eagles and the Sea Lions.

Ramírez, nationally-ranked No.14 by ITA, won his first court singles matches against CUI's Max Renz and PLNU's #9 Alexander Leischner.

Against Concordia, Ramírez began the match with a 6-2 doubles win with partner Adrian Solorzano. Ramírez carried that momentum into singles where he put Biola up 3-2 with his reverse-set win over Renz (4-6, 6-4, 6-2).

When Biola faced Point Loma, Ramírez and Solorzano's match was left unfinished (6-6) but he was able to seal the deal in singles.

Ramírez put BU on the board with their first singles win when he defeated #9 PLNU's Leischner in two sets (6-4, 6-4).
