Third-Straight Shutout

The Biola women’s tennis team stunned Hope International 4-0 at the Biola Tennis Center, recording their third-consecutive shutout of the season.

LA MIRADA---The Biola women's tennis team stunned Hope International 4-0 at the Biola Tennis Center, recording their third-consecutive shutout of the season.

The Eagles got to work early, securing the doubles point with wins on all three courts. Brooke Fager and Alexandria Mann recorded Biola's first win on the first court, defeating their opponents 6-1.

Lilly McNeill and Isabella Chavarria came through next with a 6-3 win on the third court and Colbeyshae Emery and Kailee Mazzeo wrapped up doubles with a 6-4 win on the second court. 

Chavarria, Fager and McNeill recorded their second wins of the night during singles. Chavarria won 6-1, 6-1 on the fifth court, Fager defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1 on the third and McNeill beat her opponent 6-1, 6-2 on court 2. 

The Eagles and Roybals played to clinch which left Emery, Mann and Breanna Hiebert's matches unfinished.

Emery and Mann were leading on courts 1 and 4. Emery led 6-4, 2-0 and Mann led 6-4, 3-1.

BU plays next on Monday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. against Dominican at the Biola Tennis Center.
