Eagles Suffer Loss to Vulcans

The men’s soccer team suffered 2-0 loss to Hawaii Hilo Thursday afternoon at Al Barbour Field.

LA MIRADA---The Biola men's soccer team suffered 2-0 loss to Hawaii Hilo Thursday afternoon at Al Barbour Field.

The Eagles (6-7-1, 4-3 PacWest) battled but would be unable to break through the Vulcans' (9-5, 4-4) defense. Biola managed two shots on goal in the first half, both of which would be saved by UHH's keeper.

Meanwhile, Hawaii Hilo would score goals in the 7th and 62nd minutes. Gijs van Schouten made two saves in the second half to keep the match close.

Tomislav Jozinovic and Tom Irion supported van Schouten, playing the full 90 on defense.

Justin Eisenmann led the Eagles' offensive effort, tallying two shots.
