The Biola men’s soccer team was bested 2-0 by Azusa Pacific at Al Barbour Field.

LA MIRADA---The Biola men's soccer team was bested 2-0 by Azusa Pacific at Al Barbour Field.

The damage was done by the Cougars (3-6-1, 2-2-1 PacWest) in the first half. APU scored goals in the 5th and 19th minutes to gain a 2-0 advantage over the Eagles (5-6-1, 3-2-0).

Biola got close to scoring on a couple of occasions but would be shut down by Azusa Pacific's defense. The Eagles took 16 shots, 10 of which were on goal and saved by APU's keeper. Cruz Navarro led the Biola's offensive effort, supplying three shots on goal.

BU held APU scoreless in the second half. Gijs van Schouten made a save early in the second half to keep the Eagles' in the match.

Biola plays next on Saturday, October 19th at 4 p.m. against Hawaii Pacific. Come join us at Al Barbour Field for Family and Kids day where we will have a bounce house, games and $1 sno-cones. The fun zone will open at 3:30 p.m.
