LA JOLLA, Calif. --- The Triton Invitational continued for Biola (0-3) on Sunday morning with a matchup against USC (3-0). The No. 2 squad in the nation defeated the Eagles by a final score of 18-2, starting the day's double feature.

For the second day in a row, the BU men's water polo team was slated to take a pair of top-20 programs. The first matchup against USC went the way of the Trojans in a convincing fashion, after four periods of at least four goals for USC.

Biola scored a pair of goals from two different players in the match. Through three games of 2023, eight unique Eagles have secured a tally for BU.

The Eagles earned three power plays and a five-meter penalty on the attack. Kyle Seifen cashed in on a power play in the final quarter. With just over six minutes left, Seifen found the back of the net for his first collegiate goal.

Joshua Halopoff scored the initial goal for the Eagles in the opening period. The senior got past the goalie two minutes into the contest and kept Biola close in the early going.

Biola will be back in the pool at 2:30pm on Sunday, taking on No. 10 UC Irvine in La Jolla, California.
