CLEVELAND, Ohio --- The top student-athletes academically were recognized by the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association with its annual academic achievement awards. Biola pulled in a program-best 142 individual honors, coming in from all 18 teams.

To qualify for the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, the student-athletes must have:
o a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
o attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work 
o been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last
academic year

For the fourth-straight year, Biola surpassed 100 recipients, while edging its previous best of 138 in the 2021-22 season. In 2022-23, the Eagles ranked second in the PacWest behind only Concordia with 158 recipients.

Sean Henning's women's track and field squad led the way in total recipients for Biola with 18 award-winners. Following closely behind was women's soccer with 18 recipients.

The Eagles contributed to the highest number of Academic Achievement awards since the inception of the program with a total of 19,537 student-athletes from 196 institutions being recognized.
