LA MIRADA --- Before the commencing of the fall season, the Biola Women's Soccer Squad started their 2023 season with a trip to Japan. The team combined its love for soccer and Jesus, as they experienced competition and ministry.

The Eagles thrived in a foreign environment, engaging the people of Iwata and Osaka on the field and in the streets. Their days were filled with eight matches and several different mission projects over a 10 day period in Japan.

Biola fourth-year player Abby Chavez talked about the incredible trip in the interview above and was thrilled with the team's experience. From the connection to the kids, to the bonding time with the team, Chavez and the Eagles were heavily impacted by the mission and ministry of the trip.
