VISTA, Calif. --- After winning the conference championship back in April, the Eagles cemented their supremacy with top marks in academics. 14 Eagles made the WWPA All-Academic Team, tying for the highest total amongst the eight conference teams.

The Western Water Polo Association recognizes student-athletes who achieved at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average, completed at least one semester at their institution and participated in at least 50 percent of games. Student-athletes who meet the criteria are recognized with the WWPA All-Academic honors.

BU won the WWPA crown with a tournament victory at the conclusion of the 2023 season and maintained its spot at the top on Thursday. Three teams placed 14 student-athletes on the all-academic team, including the Biola Eagles.

The Eagles saw a wide range of student-athletes reach the distinction with two freshmen, eight sophomores, two juniors, and two seniors nabbing the honor.

A total of 99 student-athletes across the conference made the all-academic list.
