GREENWOOD, Ind.---The Biola men's tennis team had two athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.

Antonio Rosales Varona and Alex Sedeno represented Biola on the prestigious academic list.

To be eligible student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve who played in at least 50 percent of their teams games with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Athletes also must have been at their institution for at least 12 months to be eligible, unless they are a graduate student. 

Rosales Varona leads the Eagles with a 4.0 GPA in business administration. Rosales Varona excelled in first court doubles where he accumulated a 14-5 overall record and was a First Team All-PacWest doubles selection. Rosales Varona also fared well in singles where he totaled a 11-7 overall record from the second, third and fourth courts.

Sedeno was Biola's last selection with his 3.8 GPA in business administration. Sedeno totaled a 6-2 doubles record from the second and third courts and a 5-4 singles record from the fourth, fifth and sixth courts.

WHAT'S NEXT?
All-District selections will move on and be voted on for Academic All-America. The Academic All-American team will be released on Wednesday, May 31.
