Eagles Eliminated in Semi-Finals

The softball team was eliminated by Azusa Pacific in the semi-final game of the 2023 PacWest Softball Championships, suffering a 1-0 loss to the Cougars.

LA MIRADA---The Biola softball team was eliminated by Azusa Pacific in the semi-final game of the 2023 PacWest Championships. 

The Eagles (28-22 overall) fought hard, but ended up losing a close 1-0 battle to the Cougars (32-23 overall). 

Azusa Pacific scored their run in the fourth inning where they benefited off two hits and situational hitting. 

Biola and APU had the same amount of hits, but the Eagles struggled with stringing their hits together. 

Two Eagles batted .500 or above, Kaitlyn Hawkins was a solid 2-for-2 and Jennifer Morinishi was 1-for-2.

Raylene Roybal threw another great game for Biola. The Redshirt Junior gave it her all, throwing a complete seven innings against APU while only allowing four hits.
