STOCKTON, Calif. --- BU Women's Water Polo is on to its next challenge in the National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championships. The BU squad is set to face No. 1-seeded Stanford at 12:00 pm on Friday at the Douglass M Eberhardt Aquatics Center in Stockton, California.

The Eagles opened up their trip to NorCal with a win over LIU in the opening round of the tournament. The Wednesday matchup saw a late push from Biola to help them secure a 10-8 victory in the program's first nationals appearance. 

The team will now turn its focus to the Cardinals, who are the reigning NCAA National Champions. 

Looking ahead to Friday's contest, head coach Sarah Orozco was ready for the challenge, "I think they are an awesome team but I think we are going to rattle them up. I know our girls have more fire in them and we want to play our best game on Friday."

Top-seeded Stanford and eighth-seeded Biola will lead off Friday's slate of competition at 12:00 pm. The winner will advance to play on Saturday in the semifinals against the winner of UCLA against UC Irvine.
