IRVINE, Calif. --- Two wins last week were aided by incredible outings from Biola's Jake Anderson. The BU reliever picked up the PacWest Pitcher of the Week award for his performances, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The junior logged seven innings pitched over two games against Concordia this past weekend. The body of work was excellent across the board with no runs allowed and 29 batters faced.

In his first appearance of the week, Anderson secured a 6-4 win for the Eagles. A two run lead was untouchable, as the righty claimed the last three innings. Through those nine outs, CUI went scoreless with one hit and three strikeouts, as Anderson picked up the save.

The next day at Eagles Diamond, the pressure was at a higher peak. Anderson entered the game in the top of the seventh and final frame with the scoreline tied at three runs apiece. He took over and gave the BU bats plenty of opportunities to win it. 4.0 scoreless frames from Anderson extended the game into the 10th for Biola. Anderson struck out four Golden Eagles and worked around four hits to collect the win.

Anderson and the Eagles will fight for a spot in the PacWest Tournament in their final regular season series against Holy Names beginning on Friday at 12:00 pm.
