VISTA, Calif. --- A winning weekend from Biola saw major contributions throughout the team. None was more impressive than Veralie Naranjo, who earned herself a WWPA Player of the Week award for her offensive impact.

The four-game stretch came in the Claremont Converge for the BU women's water polo team. The squad won three, including a massive victory over Grove City. BU defeated the Wolverines with its highest score in program history with 25 goals and three came from Naranjo.

In game two of the weekend, Naranjo really came alive with stretches of spectacular play. The sophomore tallied seven scores against the Westcliff Warriors, leading the team in a two-goal victory. Between the first and second quarters, Naranjo nabbed five-straight goals for the Eagles.

Success continued in the next match against McKendree, as BU extended its winning streak to six. In the contest, Naranjo piled on six goals, giving her 16 goals for the week. Once again, Naranjo put the game in her hands, grabbing four-consecutive goals for Biola. This time the run was uninterrupted by opposing scores, as she went on her own 4-0 run.

The Eagles will return to the pool on Saturday, facing Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
