VISTA, Calif. --- The Western Water Polo Association handed out its all-academic awards on Monday, recognizing the academic achievement of 88 student-athletes. Biola was a top recipient of the award, as the Biola men's water polo team corralled 13.

To be eligible for WWPA All-Academic honors, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of his team's contests during the current season, carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, be classified as a full-time student for all terms of attendance, and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at his institution. 

The Eagles ranked second in the conference with their total of 13 individual awards. Cal Baptist led the league with 16 award-winners, while Santa Clara and Biola followed with the same total of 13.
