LA MIRADA --- The high standards of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honor made for a prestigious award for a select group of student-athletes. Dominique Kirton earned the distinction with her strong performance on the court and in the classroom. 

The updated benchmarks to become a CSC Academic All-District honoree included an undergraduate and graduate grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. They must also have played in at least 90.0 percent of the team's sets played or started in 66.7 percent of the team's matches.

Kirton began her Master's degree this fall but wrapped up her undergraduate work back in the winter of 2022. The seasoned veteran earned her undergraduate degree in public relations with a cumulative gpa of 3.90.

The outside hitter finished off her career at Biola with a season of 207 kills on the court. Kirton posted 2.49 kills per set to rank second on the team. She set multiple career-bests in 2023, including 19 starts, 83 sets played, 207 kills, a .194 hitting percentage, 28 aces, 148 digs, 16 blocks and 246 points.
