IRVINE, Calif.---Autum Monty won this week's PacWest Defender of the Week award for her strong performances against Dominican and Academy of Art.
Monty recorded not one, but two shutouts last week. Her first was in the Eagles' 0-0 tie against Dominican where she faced 14 shots on Wednesday (Nov. 1) in the defensive battle. Six of those shots were on-goal and saved by Monty.
The Junior's next shutout was the following Saturday (Nov. 4) against Academy of Art. Monty only faced one shot and her team scored five goals which gave her a comfortable cushion in their 5-0 win.
Monty has started in every game this season, logging 1,440 minutes for the Eagles in the goal. She has a season total of 67 saves and averages 4.19 per game which is the fourth-most saves per game in the conference.
