IRVINE, Calif. --- The BU volleyball team finished off last week on an eight-match winning streak with two wins over conference opponents. Bri Bellfi helped cover the back row on the way to her second PacWest Defender of the Week award this season.

The Eagles took care of business against Concordia and Azusa Pacific last week to remain undefeated in PacWest play. Biola defeated CUI at home and needed all five sets to wrap up a win against the Golden Eagles. On Saturday, the BU squad played a tight contest on the road against the Cougars and found the edge for a four-set win.

BU libero Bellfi led the match against CUI with 26 digs. The second set saw her grab eight digs alone, while averaging 5.2 digs per set in the match. On the week, Bellfi accumulated 28 digs and increased her season total to 159.

Biola will be back on the court on Thursday at Point Loma, taking on the Sea Lions at 6:00 pm.
