Four Different Eagles Score in Shutout

Four different Eagles found the net in the Biola men soccer team’s 4-0 shutout victory over Fresno Pacific.

FRESNO, Calif.---Four different Eagles found the net in the Biola men soccer team's 4-0 shutout victory over Fresno Pacific.

Luca McGreevey Couchman, Dylan Memory, Tom Irion and Nathan Kovalcik all scored goals this evening in the Eagles' win at Ramirez Field.

Biola's goals were split up, two in the first half and two in the second. McGreevey Couchman was the first to score, firing in his goal in the 15th minute with the assist coming from Justin Eisenmann.

Dylan Memory picked up his second goal of the season in the 18th minute, assisted by Irion.

And then Irion would be the first to score in the second half, bringing Biola to a 3-0 lead. Irion received a good ball from Brennan Furlan and would cash in BU's third goal in the 52nd minute. 

Furlan would later pick up another assist in the 76th minute when Kovalcik scored the Eagles' fourth and final goal of the match. Kovalcik recorded the first goal of his career and Furlan picked up his second and third assists of the season.

Aidan Burns made three saves in the goal for the Eagles and earned his second shutout of the season.

Biola improved 5-6-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the PacWest Conference, while FPU slipped 5-8-1 and 2-5-1 in the PacWest.

Next up for Biola is Dominican on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 12 p.m. at Al Barbour Field.
