IRVINE, Calif.---Peyton Nelson earned this week's PacWest Player of the Week award for her performances against Chaminade and HPU in Hawaiʻi.
The Sophomore Forward played a crucial role in the Eagles first two conference wins of the year.
Nelson helped the Eagles' take the lead against Chaminade by scoring the first goal of the match. Biola would continue to win 2-1 over the Silverswords and secure their first conference win.
Nelson also produced the game-winner later that week in the Eagles' 1-0 shutout-win against Hawaiʻi Pacific. Nelson found the net in the 59th minute and with that and some strong defense, Biola would lock in their second conference win of the season.
Nelson leads the Eagles in goal scoring (five goals), shots (30) and shots on-goal (11).
